  • Zürich: Bahnhofstrasse in the northern part of Switzerland - Upmarket shopping which includes departmental stores like Globus and Jemoli and boutiques or shops like Bally, Prada, Jaeger, Rolex, Omega, Tag Heuer, Benetton, etc. Other department stores include Manor etc. Other boutiques include H & M, Vero Moda etc.
  • Factory Outlet Shopping - Situated in the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland and just 40 minutes' drive from Milan (Italy), FoxTown with its factory outlets have all-year-round discount of 30% to 70% on surplus and garments from the previous season (manufacturers control their stores directly here). The 160 stores consist of prestigious brands of men's, women's and children's clothings, sports articles, household goods and accessories.

  • Como (Italy) - A fashion town just across the Swiss border. Italian fashion about 2 seasons earlier than other parts of the world.
  • St Moritz - This is in the eastern part of Switzerland where the wealthy go to enjoy their riches. You'll be surprise that the prices of some goods here are cheaper than those that you get back home!
  • Lucerne - visit a town with the largest selection and the latest models of Rolex watches! Well-known Swiss brands like Audemars Piguet, Baum & Mercier, Chopard, Franck Muller, Girard-Perregaux, Gucci, IWC, Omega, Panerai, Piaget, Tag Heuer, Tudor, Swatch, etc complete the extensive range of precious time pieces. Whatever you are looking for, you could find it in Lucerne, from the smallest souvenir to the most expensive watch, from chocolate to music boxes, from Swiss army knives to cuckoo clocks - a truly "one-stop-shop"!

Accompanying males (e.g. husbands, fiancee, boyfriends, sons etc) who may not be interested in shopping, may want to try the following:

  • Zürich - visit Grossmünster and have a bird's eye view of Zürich city. Visit Fraumünster known for its pretty stained glass windows. Visit the largest clockface in Europe. Drink coffee or eat a chocolate cake at Sprüngli, an upmarket chocolate boutique. Visit the Lake of Zürich.
  • Mendrisio - Visit the old city of Mendrisio or simply go to these places in Foxtown building or the next building: 1) Casino Admiral with 150 Slot machines, 7 bars and a restaurant 2) CD / DVD shop 3) Bookshop 4) Art Gallery 5) Hairdresser 6) Tailor 7) Snack Bar 8) Solarium etc. And/or visit a nearby mountain with a wonderful view of the southern Swiss Alps and the gorgeous lakes below (optional).
  • Lugano - Sip a cup of coffee on Piazza Grande, check out the little back alleys. Stroll along the shores of Lake Lugano and simply enjoy the view.
  • Como - Visit its historical old town. Ship cruise or boat pedalling on Lake Como (in summer only) (optional). Sit or stroll along the lake and just enjoy the scenery.
  • St Moritz - See the leaning tower of St Moritz. Visit the Lake of St Moritz where the White Turf takes place every year in February - where horses run races on this frozen lake!
  • Lucerne -Visit the landmark of Lucerne, Chapel Bridge, and see the saddest piece of monument according to Mark Twain, the Lion Monument. Stroll along the Lake of Lucerne. Visit also the Picasso museum where the whole world goes to see the paintings of Pablo Picasso as well as photos of his private life (optional). Paintings by master painters are also displayed at the Rosengart museum (optional).
