Sion
Capital of Wallis/Valais, she is recognised from afar her landmark - the towers of the castle ruin of Turbillon and the fortress of Valeria.  The Collegiate Church of Sion on the Valeria, is home to the world's oldest still-functioning organ.  It dates back to the year 1390 and is played every year at the International Festival of the Old Organ. From the spire of the Cathedral, a gem of Gothic architecture, the warden announces the hours every night.
